Majors vs. Intermediate:  The Intermediate Division was formed a few years ago by Little League to give players ages 11-13 a more competitive level of play.  The Intermediate field is larger by dimension  compared to the majors field and the rules allow for a more consistent ability to play baseball with upper level rules.   Middle school players (wih several years experience playing baseball) and 11 year olds who have played at least one season at Majors are a good fit for the Intermediate level.

The Majors level will continue for the 2017 season playing interlock.  Majors teams are a good fit for 10-11 year olds who have played at least 2 seasons of AAA and are interested in a more competitive level of play.  The Majors division will travel this season to play other league teams within our Little League District and will be striving to reach the All-Star level of play this summer.  Majors is a good fit for 12 year olds who have less experience playing baseball.

Examples:

  • 6 year old may register for either T-Ball or Machine Pitch A and is guaranteed a spot.
  • 11 year old that registers for Majors will be evaluated, but is only guaranteed a spot in AAA.  11 year old that registers for AAA will be evaluated for and be drafted in AAA.
  • 8 year old in 3rd grade with a recommended 3 years of baseball may register and be evaluated for AAA.  If the young player is not drafted they are guaranteed a spot in Machine Pitch AA.

BRC (Board Registration Committeeconsists of respective League VP, Player Agent and Board President and this committee will take into account recommendations from previous coaches when making their decision.
